Mentor and Kirtland

With just a few weeks until we left Michigan for good we decided we needed to go on all the trips we have been planning but putting off. This included Kirtland. We spent the first day in a little town called Mentor about 15 minutes away from Kirtland. We enjoyed the time on two different beaches and saw two different lighthouses. It was perfect after spending all that time in the car traveling.

Yes that is what it looks. While at the hotel Lincoln took a bit out of the bath soap. He would have eaten more if I didn't stop him.

Day Two we spent in Kirtland. We started with a tour of the Kirtland Temple, visited the quarry site and finished off with a tour given by the missionaries of the rest of the city. The buildings were really neat. Newel K. Whitney store, the sawmill, I loved everything. It was really interesting and incredibly spiritual.
