We got up insanely early so we could spend a few hours at Grass River Natural Area before heading to Traverse City.
Even Quinn liked the nature preserve!
We spent the day shopping in Traverse and walking main street and the evening eating pizza on the beach next to the Mission Point lighthouse.
We took a scenic drive on the way back to the hotel to enjoy the beautiful sunset. This is one of the top scenic drives in the United States and I have to say I completely agree. We stopped every few miles to take pictures of the amazing sunset of the water!
The next day we traveled to Sleep Bear Dunes! It was beautiful. the sand dunes went on forever and the views were beautiful.
We had a picnic lunch at this beautiful spot where the river flows into the lakes. I dug in the sand and found a really cool Petosky stone.
